Fall Essentials List :) *Continuously Updated*

Fall Is Finally Here (Yippieeeeee :/)
I've created a list of some things that I think should be in your wardrobe to transition to fall/winter.
Many of these things are basics, but I have thrown in statement and trendy pieces (maybe a few links).

Personally, I love to layer (partly because it's a must in Chicago, lol) but also because its gives a look dimension. You can always layer with little pops of color and especially with accessories. Scarves, hats,  sunnies, makeup, jewelry...all accessories and all help to create a complete look!

Trends
Outerwear: This year you will see tons of jackets/coats in bold styles and colors. Since this may be primarily the first and sometimes only piece you're seen wearing, you can definitely make a statement. This can start with color...go outside of your comfort zone and try a new color (see colors list) because it can add a boost to any look. Also, try a new style. I've been leaning towards wool trenches in bright colors. When shopping think, bold furs, parkas, leathers, wool, as well as different lengths. It's all about color, length, and texture!

Hats: I've seen quite a few adorable hats so far and its only September! Designers are bringing their A-Game and making sure your mane is taken care of. From the animal ears hat at BCBG (on my list) to the bedazzled wool baseball cap at J.Crew (you too, lol), there are tons of fashionable hats for fall! You can also mix looks! So when you may not know exactly what to go for, throw on a beanie! Say it with me: beanies, fedoras, baseball caps (leather too!), and top hats!

Leopard Print: If you don't know me, I will fill you in on something, leopard print is everything!!!!!
It can be used as a neutral and adds a little flavor to any look. Leopard can also be a long-term investment. It will never, and I mean NE-VAH, go out of style!

Layering: Layering can provide GREAT dimension to a look. Mixing textures and prints can be very appealing. Cropped sweaters layered over silky tunics with leather boots....maxi dresses leather jackets fur vests and combat boots....just play with pieces and don't be afraid to! There are probably pieces in your closet that would look great together that you would never think! You can mix chic pieces with something a little more edgy, something that's a little light weight and flow-y with something more structured...just go for it, and make sure it doesn't look bulky...you should still be comfortable!

Leather: It's everywhere. Just buy it, lol

Colors
Black...and always Black
Rose
Mustard
Plum
Cobalt Blue
Bordeaux
Emerald Green
Chocolate
Fuchsia

I want to thank each and every one of you for visiting.
I really appreciate all of the on-going love and support!
xo, Kayla
